So we were sitting in the special stake meeting with Elder Bednar in church on Sunday, and we sat behind this family with four very small children. One of them was a little girl, 2 or 3 years old. She was getting really frustrated with her mom about something, and ended up hitting her on the arm a few times out of anger.
Now, sure, toddlers do that. They loose their little minds from little toddler rage and end up biting you or hitting you or whatever. Still not okay though. The mom stayed very calm and asked her daughter, "Is it time to go outside?" Which meant, "Do you need to drain some energy by running up and down the halls for a minute?"
Baden and I were talking about this afterwards and I said I didn't think I could stay so calm if my kid hit me. He said this: "Yeah, you hit my sweetheart and I don't care if you're my kid, we have a PROBLEM."
Sometimes it's the matter-of-fact things he says that are the sweetest.
